Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has nominated 17 individuals to serve as members of the State Executive Council. Among the nominees are three women and 14 men. The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, made this announcement during an emergency session of the House in Lafia on Friday.
The nominees for the position of commissioners are as follows:
1. Aishatu Rufai Ibrahim from Awe LGA
2. Umar Abubakar Dan’akano from Awe LGA
3. Mr. Yakubu Kwanta from Akwanga LGA
4. Munirat Abdullahi from Doma LGA
5. Timothy Kasuwa from Karu LGA
6. Margaret Elayo from Keana LGA
7. Bala Mulki from Keffi LGA
8. John Mamman from Kokona LGA
9. Barr. Abubakar Imam ZANWA from Lafia LGA
10. Hon Aliyu Ahmed Tijjani from Nasarawa LGA
11. Haruna Musa from Nassarawa Eggon LGA
12. Muhammed Eyimoga from Obi LGA
13. Barr. Labaran MAGAJI from Toto LGA
14. Dr. Gaza Gwamna from Toto LGA
15. Mu’azu Gosho from Wamba LGA
16. Samuel Kafu Emgba from Lafia LGA
17. Ja’afaru Ango from Karu LGA
The Speaker emphasized that the selection of these nominees was based on their merits, integrity, prudence, and wealth of experiences. He instructed the nominees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae (CV) by Monday, July 31st, 2023, and to undergo screening on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023.
Additionally, the State House of Assembly approved Governor Abdullahi Sule’s request to appoint 20 Special Advisers. The speedy approval was aimed at assisting the Governor in implementing his administration’s policies, and the House assured its commitment to collaborating effectively with the Executive arm for the rapid development of the state.
