My sister-in-law T has been Usifo Ataga’s friend since their days in Federal Government college, Warri.
It was she who first told me that he had been brutally murdered.
Ag his service of songs, T and his other loved ones spoke of how generous he was, how calm, how respectful, how loyal to his friends, how eager to learn, how he taught himself Forex trading at 19 years old, how keen he was on reading and watching documentaries.
There was a cousin from the village who said Usifo never looked down on him.

Above all else, his mother’s tribute broke my heart ” my pain is that I could not monitor him in his last week”.
It is easy to scramble for clicks in the frenized spreading of rumours, in the hunger for the salacious and outrageous, that actual human being are involved. That this person who was loved by many people, including two daughters who now will be scared for life.
