Labour Party (LP) in Rivers State has adopted, Sir Siminialaya Fubara the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the Saturday’s gubernatorial election.
The Rivers State Labor Party Chairman Dienye Pepple, disclosed the new development in Port Harcourt today (Tuesday) in a communique arising from the executive meeting of the party.
With this, the party has abandoned its standard bearer, Mrs. Beatrice Itubo, to chose Fubara.

Also, the party chairman noted that in the interest of equity and fairness, that the party resolved to adopt, Fubara, who hails from the Rivers South-East Senatorial district, noting that its the only district that has not produced governor.
