Lagos state government has officially announced the dates for reopening of tertiary, secondary and primary schools in the state.
After months of being shut down as a result of the Covid-19 lockdown, students should now be warming up to get back to their learning centers.
According to a recent report by Channels Tv, the Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Saturday revealed that all schools in Lagos are to re-open in September.
The tertiary institutions in Lagos will resume from September 14, while the primary and secondary schools are scheduled to re-open from September 21, 2020, according the briefing by the state Governor.
His statement partly reads:
“This decision is not cast in stone and is subject to review of our ongoing modelling and what procedure comes out from the Ministry of Health.”
Meanwhile, dates for reopening of schools within the country are yet to be fixed by the government, as they are still evaluating the safety guidelines from the Ministry of health.
