Lagos Airport has been shut down temporarily over discovery of a corpse on the runway.
The international wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, Stops functioning temporarily after the mangled body of a dead man was seen on runway 18R of the nation’s Flagship Airport.
The corpse was unidentified as of press time and the mystery behind the dead body has not been established, as to know whether the man was knocked down by an aircraft taking off or landing on the runway.

Premium Times reported that airport official told their correspondent that the runway was temporarily shut down while a team of officials from the Federal airport authority of Nigeria and the Nigeria Police Force evacuated the corpse.
The temporary shutdown, however, affected International flights coming from Lome, Togo to Lagos.
The incident is still under investigation, and the need to improve the Airport technology was also stated.
