Labour Party’s 2023 Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, urged Imo state’s current governor, Hope Uzodimma, to prepare to vacate the government house ahead of the November 11, 2023 governorship election. Obi made this statement during the launch of Senator Athan Achonu’s governorship campaign for the Labour Party in Owerri.
Obi believes that the Labour Party’s entrance into Imo state’s government would end misgovernance. He expressed confidence in the party’s national chairman, Abure, and endorsed Achonu as the best candidate.
