The Kebbi Police Command has taken a firm stance on curbing illegal practices related to vehicles and their accessories. In a statement conveyed by SP Nafi’u Abubakar, the command’s Public Relations Officer, it was made abundantly clear that unauthorized use of sirens, tinted windows, and unregistered vehicles will not be tolerated.
This directive was attributed to CP Samuel Musa, the Commissioner of Police for the state, who issued a stern warning to the public in Birnin Kebbi.
The Kebbi State Police Command underscored the ongoing battle against the misuse of diplomatic number plates, unregistered vehicles, concealed number plates, unauthorized sirens, and tinted windows. This initiative is not just rhetoric; it is actively being enforced. The commissioner has already instructed his Tactical Commanders, Area Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to take decisive actions against those who flout these regulations.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that the enforcement measures include arrests, prosecutions, and the confiscation of vehicles, sirens, and fraudulent private number plates. The message to the people of Kebbi is crystal clear: compliance with these regulations is mandatory, and any violation will incur appropriate penalties.
The commissioner has earnestly appealed to residents of the state to refrain from breaching these regulations, as strict consequences await anyone found in defiance of these orders. The Kebbi Police Command’s commitment to maintaining order and safety on the roads is resolute, and they are determined to uphold these standards for the welfare of the community.
