IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, has ask his galant members of the Eastern Security Network to refrain from attacking men of the Nigerian military deployed across local governments in Imo state, mainly, Orlu axis.
The leader of the indigenous people of biafra, however disclosed the on Wednesday evening through his Facebook page, according to Nnamdi Kanu, his decision to stop ESN from any further offensive attack was due to the verified confirmation that soldiers earlier deployed in Orlu have returned to military barracks.
Kanu prior to this, said information available to the group promised to clear the troops off the Orlu communities and have been fulfilled.
“We have, this evening, received verified confirmation that #Zoo soldiers, those untrained cowards that only specialise in burning properties, have now left Orlu back to where they came from. The assurances we received earlier that this would happen has been fulfilled”
That is why called on the ESN operatives, including aggrieved families, at the time being, to refrain from launching offensive action on the soldiers.
He added that the situation will be closely monitored between the coming days to ascertain their part of the agreement.
Kanu maintained that the priority of remains to clear from the eastern region foreign terrorists and protecting mothers in their farms.
“I, therefore, ask our brave and gallant men and every aggrieved person or persons, to refrain from any offensive action for the time being as we monitor the situation in the coming hours and days. Our priority remains the task of ridding our land of foreign terrorists from the Sahel and protecting our mothers as they farm”
The ESN commander, Kanu however noted the vigilantes will this evening return to bushes to continue their assignment undertaken to keep mothers safe from dangerous terrorists.
