Reports have surfaced that a certain Amarachi Ugochukwu, who is a staff of Globus Bank, Ikorodu, Lagos committed suicide two days ago.
The 32 year old marketing staff was found lifeless at one of the bank’s branch in Ikorodu, Lagos. The sad incident occurred on Monday, 8th January, 2024. A bottle of Sniper insecticide was found near late Amarachi’s lifeless body in the staff toilet of the branch during the search for her.

The deceased left what was described as a ‘suicide note’ in a diary on her table before she allegedly took her life. One of the stated reasons why she ended her life was as a result of extreme hardship in Nigeria.
She wrote:
“My decisions are wrong. My mind is messedup. The future doesn’t seem right at all, I see extreme hardship. I can’t bear the pain anymore.
“I’m sorry mum, I am sorry dad. I’m sorry Meme, Okwe, Yoyo Nazor, Chuchu, Ifunanya. Lord have mercy on me!”

However, the matter has been reported to the police in Ikorodu and investigation into the incident is said to have commenced immediately.
