A tragic incident has emerged from Kalyanpur village in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. A villager, who had gone to the forest to defecate, was suddenly attacked by a 15-foot-long python. The python wrapped its tail around the villager’s neck and attempted to swallow him.
Witnessing this terrifying scene, the villagers intervened by grabbing the python’s mouth and called for help. Eventually, a passing villager noticed the commotion, which led to the villager’s escape.

According to passers-by, when they arrived after hearing the distressed cries, they saw the python completely overpowering the villager. Despite the danger to their own lives, the villagers immediately acted to separate the python from the villager. With no other means available, they killed the python using axes, stones, and other sharp tools.
The villagers managed to rescue the man from the python’s grip. Due to a lack of knowledge and the urgency of the situation, they killed the python instead of attempting to capture it. The police were informed immediately.
The incident falls under the jurisdiction of the Bagraji police post of Kundam Police Station in Jabalpur. The police arrived at the scene, gathered details of the incident, and took the necessary legal actions.
