Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has granted his endorsement for the disbursement of a sum of N667 million to 475 pensioners across all 17 local government regions within the state. This decision was formally communicated through an official statement from Alhaji Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs for Governor Buni.

The declaration, made in Damaturu on a Friday, revealed that this allocation was greenlit after a meticulous examination and authentication process carried out by a committee that had been convened by the state administration.

The Director-General, Mamman Mohammed, stated that the validation process concluded with a total of 475 verified beneficiaries. He went on to disclose that the records of beneficiaries and a concise overview categorized by local government territories were attached for both active and deceased pension recipients. With resolute commitment, Mohammed affirmed that the state government is fully committed to resolving all unsettled pension payments owed to retired civil servants in the state. (NAN)
