The United Kingdom Parliament has on Monday commenced a debate on the sanctions on Nigerian Government officials for their alleged involvement in the attack on peaceful #EndSARS protesters at Lekki Toll-Gate on October 20, 2020.

Having gathered over 200,000 signatures, the British Parliament at the Westminster Hall decided to look into e-petition 554150, relating to Nigeria and the sanctions regime’.

According to the latest reports by Sahara reporters, members of the UK parliament are looking to impose a direct sanction on government officials instead of a general economic sanction that may affect ordinary citizens.
