The massive nationwide protest of Nigerians against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) has finally reached the ears of the world including American news media CNN.
One of the popular headlines of CNN on Saturday morning was the #EndSARS protest by Nigerians. It was subsequently followed by a video showing the police in the Federal Capital Territory, using tear gas to dispatch protesters.

The CNN presenter also stated that the EndSARS hashtag was the most trending hashtag on Twitter on Friday, that’s a clear indication of how widespread this protest have gone.

If you must know, the EndSARS protest was staged as a call to disband the controversial Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of Nigeria. They have been widely accused of unlawful arrests, torture and even murder of innocent civilians.
It all began last week with the #EndSars social media hashtag, before it erupted to a massive protest.
