Two suspected armed robbers carrying Pump-action guns were arrested by the police on Saturday, 31 October at Abagana, end of Nimo junction in Njikoka LGA, Anambra State.
The two suspects were identified as Ocha Chinonso, 23, of Mgbuke Village, Umunachi, and Chidubem Emmanuel, 22, of Umusiome Nkpor.
According to the State Police Public Relation Officer, SP, Haruna Mohammed, the police received a distress call at about 8:32am in the morning that some armed robbers were robbing in the area.
“Following the distress call, police operatives attached to Abagana division in conjunction with the local vigilante group from Umudunu village quickly responded and rushed to the scene. As a result, two male suspects were arrested”.
Two pump-action guns, one short double barrel, three catriges and one tricycle were recovered from the suspects. HGS Media Plus learnt.
