The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have raided some restaurants and eateries in Jos, Plateau State and recovered many freshly baked cakes made with Cannabis Sativa (marijuana).
This was revealed in a statement by NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi. He alleged that the cakes made with cannabis, called brownies, were recovered from three eateries and an additional 48.726 kg psychotropic substances were also seized from some lounges.

Some of which includes the KNL Lounge located along Lamingo Road and another branch along Mining Quarters, Rantya Low-Cost estate, as well as Tuscany Lounge on Azaki Ave, all within Jos metropolis.
Babafemi also said that 14kg of Barcadin Codeine; Flunitrazapem, 355.5g; Tramadol, 370.1g; Exol-5, 30kg; Diazepam, 2.5kg and Pentazocine, 1.5kg, totalling 48.726kg were seized.
At the time of filing this report, about persons have already been arrested in connection with the seized drugs.
