In Laraba Abasawa, Kano State, worshippers suffered injuries when a man ignited a mosque during the ‘Subh’ prayer, as per Daily Trust. Approximately 40 individuals were praying when the assailant used petrol to start the fire, locking the mosque afterward.
It took a while for bystanders to notice and aid the victims, who were struggling to escape. About 20 seriously injured worshippers were promptly transported to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital in Kano for treatment. The incident highlights a distressing act of violence within the community, disrupting a sacred moment of prayer and causing harm to innocent individuals.
