Man Flogged For Stealing Plantain In Bayelsa State (Photos)
A thief have been flogged and fined after he was reportedly caught stealing plantain in Bayelsa State.
The incident reportedly occurred in Agudama-Epe area of Yenagoa, the state capital on Sunday, October 3.
The suspect who was identified as Martins Dickson from Rivers State, was reportedly caught red handed while stealing the plantain.

Facebook user by the name Izibeyame Prudent shared the story on social media.
According to him, the suspect specializes in stealing people’s plantains on Sunday but like the said, one day is for owner of the house, he was caught in the act and disgraced.
Instead of handing him over to the appropriate authorities, the villagers decided to flog and fined him since he claimed it was hunger that led him to steal the plantain.
