The protest tagged ‘End police brutality in Uganda’ was started on Twitter on Tuesday evening by a 25 year old man identified as Render Namanya, a resident of Kampala.
According to the protesters the police have been brutalizing people regardless of their age or positions in the society. The situation has allegedly worsened since the start of their presidential nominations that ended on Tuesday.

Recently a disturbing photo of children who were made to lie under the sun naked, was posted by a Ugandan on Twitter. He attributed it to be the handiwork of the police.

Though there are no evidence to verify such claims but after going through some other images of people allegedly hurt by police, you could understand why they are calling for a change. See below:
Meanwhile, The Independent Uganda reportedly said that none of those officers involved in these acts have been charged, let alone convicted.
