Justice Emeka Nwike of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday 28th March, ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), to transfer of detained Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, and six others in a correctional centre.
Justice Emeka Nwike also ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, to transfer the six others facing drug trafficking charges alongside Kyari to the Correctional Center.
The judge gave the order after denying the former Deputy Commissioner of Police alongside the other defendants bail.

Justice Nwite had held that the NDLEA placed sufficient materials before it to warrant denying Kyari and the other defendants bail.
The court equally denied bail to former members of the IRT, ACP Sunday Ubia, Inspector Simon Agirgba, and Inspector John Nuhu.
Sources say Abba Kyari and the 4 other police officers will be separated from the other defendant who pleaded guilty; the 6th and 7th defendants will be taken to Suleja correctional Centre while DCP Abba Kyari and the other police officers will be remanded in Kuje correctional Centre.
The matter has been adjourned till 27th April for a ruling.
