It seems the newly instituted Special Weapon and Tactics squad (SWAT) is ready to carry out their assigned duties, after a recent photo of an officer was shared on social media.
The smart and cheerful looking officer was captured in Lagos standing beside an armoured vehicle with plate number having the inscription SWAT.
Mere looking at his appearance and countenance, one could easily conclude they are quite different from their predecessors. See image below:
It’s quite amazing how fast their training went, judging by the fact that it is barely two weeks the the arrangement of the SWAT team was made.
Recall that the Special Weapon and Tactics squad was established following the continuous call by Nigerian youths to disband SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad).
Their focus have already shifted to SWAT, but it would be interesting to know what their reactions would be if these smart-looking officers finally takes to the street.
