A Ritualist was arrested while attempting to sacrifice a 9 year olf girl in inbaa community, Emuoha Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The suspect who was later on identified as Achor was caught after the girl’s parents raised an alarm over her sudden disappearance and the soldiers in the community began a search for her.
According to a source in the community, the child was sent to dispose refuse when the suspect dragged her into an abandoned compound where he kept a coffin.
As he was performing the ritual, the soldiers barged in and arrested him.
They met the little girl wrapped in white cloths and white clay applied on her body.

Nnamdi Omoni who is the spokesperson of the state police confirmed the incident to PUNCH saying the suspect was handed over to the police in Rumuji.
He further mentioned that the commissioner of police, Joseph Mukan ordered that the suspect be transferred to the state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and possible prosecution.
