A convoy conveying a yet-to-be-identified presidential aspirant of the ruling All Progressives Congress has been attacked near Goni Matari village, Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State on Sunday.
The officials were ambushed by Boko Haram terrorists on Sunday while they were travelling from Abuja to Maiduguri for a presidential campaign, according to Sahara Reporters.

It is still uncertain what the real casualty figure is, but sources told Sahara Reporters that at least two security men was killed on the spot while one died later at the hospital. Four others are currently hospitalised.
Boko Haram also burnt two patrol vehicles they were travelling in with the presidential candidate.
The terror group has since claimed responsibility for the attack, but said 7 policemen were killed during the ambush.
