Jacob Stevens, a 13-year-old teenage boy from Ohio tragically lost his life after attempting the deadly TikTok “Benadryl challenge”.
In case you’ve not heard, this dangerous challenge requires the participants to take 12 to 14 of the antihistamines six times the recommended dose so as to induce hallucinations.
This potentially deadly challenge made it’s way on the internet back in 2020 as teens uploaded their attempts on TikTok in order to gain social media attention and followers.
According to Jacob’s father’s report on ABC 6, the boy was at home with his friends when he overdosed. Footage taken by his friends revealed the moment the young lad was downing the pills, after which his body reportedly started to seize up.
He was subsequently rushed to the hospital, and put on a ventilator. The boy died six days later on what his father described as the”worst day of his life.”
“It was too much for his body,” the teen’s heartbroken father said.
