The song is dedicated to Grammy winning Nigerian artist Wizkid. In the Afrobeat nation, Wizkid is known by his fans as “Machala,” meaning “Supreme King Boss.”
Carter Efe has always been vocal about his admiration for Wizkid, little wonder he came up with “Machala” as a potential stage name for himself.
