In this video which made it’s way on X, an advanced woman is seen flogging a corpse inside a coffin, about to be buried. According to a reliable source, this tradition is mostly associated with the Luhya tribe of Kenya. They allegedly do that to condemn the spirit of the dead especially for those who died but had some issues with the community.
So basically, they’re trying to rebuke the spirit and make sure that the spirit goes away without interfering with the upcoming society.
