Most people consider the Igbo people to be the richest tribe in the whole Nigeria. That of course boils down to the fact that they are somewhat business minded. Without doubts, majority of their sources of income lies purely in business.
Renowned Nigerian activist Reno Omokri has made some research and came up with a yet to be proven fact that the Igbos are the richest people per capita in Africa.
In one of his regular posts on Twitter the former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan adviced his followers to “study the Igbo people of Nigeria” so as to be wealthy.
He wrote:
Study the Igbo people of Nigeria if you want to be wealthy. They were destroyed by Nigeria’s Civil War, with EVERY Igbo family reduced to £20. Now, they are the richest people per capita in Africa. How did they do it? Entrepreneurship. Igbo Amaka!”
Meanwhile, Omokri’s statement has generated some mixed reactions from people, while some believe he could be right, others think he didn’t do a proper research.
