American Tech Billionaire and one time world richest man, Bill Gates and his wife, Melinda Gates have officially announced the end of their 27 years marriage.
The couple made this made this announcement in a joint statement Monday, 3 March. They said:
“Over the last 27 years, we have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives.”
“We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in the next phase of our lives.”
Bill and Melinda met in the late 1980s when Melinda joined Bill’s Microsoft firm. They got married on January 1, 1994, in Hawaii and have 3 adult children, Jennifer, Rory and Phoebe.

Bill Gates is currently the fourth richest man in the world and his net worth is estimated at more than $130 billion.
