People are wondering why the men of Zulu don’t appear to have erection during their popular traditional ceremony.
In South Africa, the ceremony is known as Umkhosi Womhlanga, and takes place every year in September at the Enyokeni Royal Palace. Thousands of maidens came out in numbers to attend the Reed Dance at the Royal Palace in Nongoma, northern KwaZulu-Natal.
These young women grace this auspicious occasion almost in their birthday suits in the presence of their male counterparts. And the guys don’t appear to give much attention to their appearance. Why?
The reason is this: In the past African women were never seen as s£x objects until foreigners influences. In pre-colonial worldview, women were never seen as s£x objects. That’s why many traditional photographs show women posing half-nãk£d with less care in the world as such has been their life.

Being ashamed of one’s body allegedly began with the teachings of the colonial school system, life styles, introduction of s£x through media, Hollywood and such.
It was ok for women to walk around the village half-nãk£d without arousing men because men’s conscience on s£xuãlity was not yet corrupted. There was no shame in publicly viewing body parts. This can also be seen in ancient Kemet where Isis, Akhenaten can be seen half-nãk£d.
And in Melanesia, Ancient Zulu and several forested kingdoms in Africa both young and old females were half nãk£d in early 1900s and in pre-colonial era until we been dumped with rubbish from the outside world, we now have a chaos society.
