Puff puff is a popular snacks among Nigerians. It can be eaten anytime and anyday, today it now belongs to the small chops family and can be sold in packs.
Preparing puff puff does not require too much work or ingredient, flour, sugar, yeast, salt , water and vegetable oil are the main ingredients.
Ingredients
3 cups Flour
Yeast
Sugar
Salt
Vegetable oil
Eggs(optional)
Nutmeg(optional)
Steps
1. Sift flour into a dry bowl
2. Mix all dry ingredients together in a large dry bowl.
N/B: If you are using instant yeast you add it now. If you are not, mix in a warm water and allow for sometime.
3. Gradually pour in warm water. It should not be too watery or thick, strike a balance.
4. Leave the mixture in a warm place to rise for about 30-45 minutes
5. Heat your oil on a medium level
6. Fry in small batches till you get a fine golden brown colour.
7. Then serve!
Puff puff can be taken hot or cold!
