A popular transgender and fashion designer identified as Fola Francis drowned in a beach in Lagos. The news of his death was made public by a Twitter user, Desmond, who first tweeted on Wednesday, 20th of December 2023 on how to help a person who is drowning.
He wrote; treat as urgent. Please who can I reach out to for any kind of help if someone drowns at Ilashe. Please I’m begging.

Then on the 22nd of December, Desmond retweeted stating the death of the popular transgender Fola Francis together with the picture of the deceased and his WhatsApp chat with his mom indicating her displeasure over his newly found lifestyle.
Desmond announced that Francis memorial would be held soon.
