In a tragic incident on Friday, a yet-to-be-identified woman lost her life when a 40-feet container fell onto a car at the Lagos end of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Despite the severity of the accident, the driver of the car miraculously escaped unhurt, as reported by the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

The accident, attributed to excessive speed on the part of the fully loaded container driver, highlights the dangers of reckless driving on our roads. According to Adebayo Taofiq, the Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment Department at LASTMA, the driver of the Mack articulated truck, along with his motor boy, fled the scene immediately following the incident.
