Nigeria has a lot of beautiful cities spread across its 36 states. Almost every city in Nigeria has something peculiar attached to it. Cities in Nigeria indeed have fantastic sculptures and things that make them, however, some cities are more developed than others.
These Cities are ahead in commercialisation, infrastructure and development.
Some cities are still under development but we will only be looking at 9 cities in Nigeria.
1. Abuja
Abuja is the Nation’s Capital and Nigeria’s seat of power. The city is developed to have good infrastructures, landscape and arranged housing. The city is filled with a lot of administrative building and still have places where people catch fun such as the popular Millennium Park, Jabi Lake, big shopping stores.
2. Jos
Jos is the capital of Plateau state. Well known for its serene environment and affordable standard of living. It has two museums, wildlife, a park, a game reserve and adorable hills.
3. Enugu
Popularly known as Coal City State, is located in Southeast Nigeria. Enugu has its commercialised life and administrative sectors. The popular Nike lake is in Enugu.
4. Calabar
Calabar is the capital of Cross River state and arguably the most beautiful city in Nigeria. It was once an administrative seat in Nigeria. Calabar is well known for its annual carnival “Calabar Carnival” which attracts tourists all over the world.
The centre of black jewel (oil) is known to have more oil and gas companies and large companies. PH as it called for shirt has its PH shopping mall, Asia town and Hotel Presidential.
6. Lagos
Lagos is a highly commercialised city in Nigeria, filled with industries that attract foreign investors to the City.
Lagos is known for its developed areas like Victoria Island, Lekki, Banana Island. Lagos is also a hub for Nigerian celebrities and a financial centre.
7. Kano
Kano, a city in Northern Nigeria. It has an international airport and is popular for its Durbar festival host hosted by the Emir of Kano. Kano is a centre of commerce and houses Bayero University, one of the top universities in Nigeria.
8. Uyo
The capital of Akwa Ibom and an oil-producing state in the country. Uyo has the amalgamation house, a storey building that houses Lord Lugard. Uyo has an Ibom connection, a beautiful momentum in Uyo.
9. Minna
Minna, in Niger state. A labour camp for railway construction led to the development of the town into a major commercial city.
Although, Minna does not have a large population like Lagos. It has attractive sites such as Kainji Lake and Baro Port.
