Toasting etiquettes?
You may wonder if there are rules to toasting too. Yes, there are.
But no fears, it’s not what you cannot keep to.
Whenever you find yourself at a party or a gathering where a toast is made, you should know that you do not just make toast anyhow you want or behave anyhow during toast.
Here are areas to pay attention to during toast.
1. The host proposes a toast at the beginning or middle of an event. It is often done when welcoming a guest or making a celebration over something.
2. Don’t toast only one person when there is an entire team, family, or organization present.
3. Raise your glass during a toast even if you are not drinking alcohol. Having water in your glass can do. It’s the thought of toasting with others that counts.

4. Rather than tap the trim of your glass to get everybody’s attention, simply stand up and call their attention.
5. Never clink the rims of the glass when having a toast. The rims of the glass are fragile and can shatter easily when hit and clinked hard.
6. Use the right amount of wine. Avoid more than a third full of wine. Overfilled wine reduces the sound of the glass.
7. Be time conscious. If you are giving a toast, avoid long talks. Keep it short.
8. If a host proposes a toast in your honor, don’t take a drink until everyone would have taken theirs and put their glass down.
