Spaghetti is one of staple foods in Nigeria, it is originally a staple food among Italians. Spaghetti is one of the most popular pasta we have. It can be cooked and garnished with different recipes to suit your taste bud.

One common problem among cooking spaghetti is in it, getting sticky or being over cooked.

Tips for achieving a non-sticky spaghetti is:

  1. Always fill your pot with enough water that would be able to cover the spaghetti very well.
  2. Add salt to the boiling water this helps in enhancing the taste of the spaghetti.
  3. Always stir your spaghetti continuously while it’s boiling.
  4. At intervals have a taste of the spaghetti to know when you have achieved your desired texture.
  5. Your colander should be readily sitting in the sink to sieve out the water from the spaghetti when ready.
  6. The spaghetti should be plopped into a large bowl immediately it is drained.
  7. At this point, it is ready to eat and should be tossed with any warm sauce of your choice.
