Mr. Isaac Okoma was apprehended by the Rivers State Police Command for the murder of a woman residing at a waterfront in the state. Along with Okoma, four other criminals involved in illicit activities were also arrested, and the police managed to recover two AK-47 rifles from them.
Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Polycarp Emeka, revealed these details during a press conference in Port Harcourt, where he presented the suspects arrested for various crimes in the state. Emeka stated that Okoma committed the murder in an undisclosed area of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, and preliminary investigations are underway.
On a separate occasion, the police pressured and conducted raids on criminal hideouts in Ahoada LGA, leading to a notorious criminal in the area surrendering his weapon. General ‘2man,’ the leader of the Green Landers Cult Group in Ogbologbolo Community Ahoada West, handed over an AK-47 rifle and two SMG rifles to the police. Efforts are ongoing to conduct further raids to retrieve more arms and ammunition possessed by these criminals.
Commissioner Emeka urged the residents of the state to continue supporting the fight against cultism and related criminal activities, acknowledging that their assistance is crucial in tackling the issue effectively.
