Unidentified outbreak, but suspected to be cholera has hit the Koya village in Minjibir Local Government area in Kano state.
Over fifty persons were hospitalised at Minjibir hospital for medical attention as a result of the outbreak that was confirmed by the Information officer of the area, Tasiu Dadmiduniya.
According to him;
It happened after the break of Muslim fasting when a head of a household came down with vomiting and diarrhea which didn’t last more than fifteen minutes before the died. – Vanguard
The village head, Alhaji Maikwai said that they are yet to ascertain the main cause of the outbreak although health officers have visited the area.

Other sources revealed that similar encounters was recorded around Gezawa and Gabassawa areas of the state where about twenty were hospitalised.
However, the commissioner for Health Kano state, Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanya responded that no call or message was sent to his phone when he was asked to confirm the outbreak.
