The number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the US has eclipses five million as of Sunday while the death toll climbed to more than 162,441, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
Currently the United States continues to lead the world in the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases and as well as death rates, is about a quarter of world cases of the virus.
The pandemic shows no sign of slowing, and health officials have urged the use of face masks in public places and pleaded with residents to avoid social gatherings until the spread is under control.
