The coronavirus pandemic which emerged from Wuhan China has now affected over 210 countries and territories around the world and this week the figure for confirmed cases eclipses 2million with 135,569 deaths.
Now we want to take a look at the top 10 countries that the pandemic affected most as of Thursday 16th April 2020.
1. USA
U.S. currently has the highest number of confirmed asymptomatic coronavirus cases in the world since after the novel coronavirus called SARS-CoV-2 was first detected in the U.S. on 20th January 2020, and it has since spread to nearly 644,348 people in the country with 28,554 deaths.
Infact New York has more virus cases than any other countries with 214,648 confirmed cases and 11,586 deaths.
2. Spain
Spain’s confirmed cases increased by 2,157 to 182,816 over the past 24 hours, while death is 19,130.
3. Italy
Italy reported its fewest new coronavirus cases in four and a half weeks on Wednesday, as a nationwide lockdown begins to check the spread of the disease while also weakening the economy.
There were 2,667 new cases of the disease, compared with 2,972 a day earlier, the lowest since March 13, civil protection officials said at their daily briefing in Rome. Confirmed cases in the country now total 165,155.
Italy registered 578 deaths linked to the virus, compared with 602 the day before. That brings the total number of fatalities to 21,645.

France now has a total of 147,863 confirmed or suspected cases with 17,167 deaths.

6. England
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the UK has reached nearly 100,000. A total of 98,476 people confirmed to have had the virus with 12,868 fatalities.

More than 313,000 people have been tested for coronavirus so far.
7. China
Many people are still surprised by the way the Chinese handled the pandemic they engineered, since March the communist nation has seen their cases dropped, with the government opening all virtually all parts of the sector.

As China, once the center of the epidemic,
moves beyond its peak, its success is giving rise to a blend of patriotism, nationalism and xenophobia not seen in decades.
8. Iran
Iran’s official coronavirus jumped to 77,995 and death toll rose to 4,869 on Thursday but a parliamentary report said the actual number could be much higher and a deputy minister warned the infection could spread further in autumn.
