Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde Gives Strict COVID19 Protocol Over Crossover Service

The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde approved churches over Crossover service in the state.

In a statement on Wednesday written by his Chief Press Secretary Taiwo Adisa, Governor Seyi Makinde strictly warned churches to comply with COVID19 protocols.

The Governor, however has approved the curfew of 12.am – 4.am recently imposed by the Federal Government and has ordered the state taskforce on COVID19 to ensure strict compliance to the guidelines of the government.

The Governor has therefore ordered all worship centres to hold crossover service but in compliance to COVID19 protocol.

However the Osun State COVID19 taskforce released that the 50 percent occupancy for worship and event centres, ban of bars, street carnivals, remain in effect.

The Oyo state taskforce on COVID19 warns families, individuals and organisations to adhere to the strict protocol in the use of facemasks, hand sanitizer, social distancing and regular washing of hand.

Taskforce also reminded gathering of 50 percent occupancy for event centres and also the use of facemasks and washing of hand.

The State government also admonished residents of the state to always visit health care centres whenever they feel unwell.
