Below are five simple and natural steps that you can use to get rid of hair lice. These steps are quite easy to do at home, and they are also safe for use on children.

These steps include: washing your hair with water and vinegar, applying a mixture of essential oils to your scalp, and then using an electric lice comb to comb the hair.

It is highly advised that after completing these steps, you need to also wash your clothes, bed sheets, brushes and any other hair and personal accessories as this will help remove any egg that may be hidden.

The simple five steps to get rid of lice are:

1. Use vinegar to wash your hair:

Vinegar

Using a mixture of warm water and vinegar to wash your hair is the first step. Vinegar naturally contains elements that kill lice and this mixture should be applied directly to the entire scalp.

2. Use of essential oils:

Essential oils

The next step is to apply a mixture of essential oils such as; coconut oil, tea-tree oil, apple cider vinegar and any other oil directly on your scalp and then to the entire hair.

Then cover your hair with a cap and leave the mixture for about 20 minutes.

3. Use a fine-tooth or electric lice comb to comb your hair:

Then next step is to use a fine-tooth or electric lice comb to comb through your entire hair. You need to go through each section carefully to be sure that every part of your hair gets thoroughly combed.

4. Since lice can be transferred to bed sheets, combs, hats and brushes, it is very important and necessary to wash all these objects thoroughly and frequently to avoid the transmission of the parasite to another person.

5. Repeat all the steps after nine days because lice have a life cycle of nine days, and if all were not removed in the first treatment, it might develop within this time frame.
