7 ways to prevent reptiles from entering your house

Reptiles are creeping animals that love when the weather is hot and creep out of their hiding place the weather after which they creep into the nearest caused may cause harm if it remains there.

Reptiles enjoy places where they won’t be seen easily; for example, heaps of grasses, piles of shoes, cracks.

To prevent reptiles from entering your house;

1. Clean up possible hideouts

Avoid having a section of the house where there are so many things packed over a long period. Sometimes they come in the form of used property or old products.

 

2. Use natural Repellants

Repellants, like fox’s, urine are repellents against reptiles. Also, you can use other natural repellents like:

  • Sulfur
  • Vinegar
  • Lime
  • Garlic powder

 

3. Do away with their source of feeding

Reptiles feed on rodents, insects and some other little animals and the more these insects are available, reptiles will always come looking for them.

 

4. Don’t allow overgrown grasses in your surroundings

When grasses are overgrown, they tend to be a perfect housing for reptiles which may leave the grasses one day to creep into the house. Overgrown grasses give reptiles good coverage.

 

5. Close up cracks

Cracks make it easier for reptiles to get into our homes. Close up every crack on the wall of the house and fence. Reptiles can also use cracks as s form of housing.

 

6. Don’t meet piles around your house.

Reptiles find it easier to hid in piles. It can be piles of stones, dead grasses or unused property.

7. Plant lemon grasses around your vicinity. It serves as a repellant to reptiles.
