Having a flat tummy gives you a nice body figure and allows you to wear tight-fitting dresses without having to worry about belly fat in the abdomen. Besides having a nice shape, belly fats are not healthy because they are risk factors for high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes.

To avoid the risk of these diseases, and to live a healthy life, engage in habits that will help you to lose some fats and make you have a flat tummy. Achieving a flat tummy can be through exercises, but there are other ways to getting a flat tummy if you do not want to engage in exercise.

1. Be selective on the type of food you eat

Reduce the intake of processed foods, take more whole grains, leafy vegetables, oranges, tomatoes, fresh herbs and low-fat dairy. Natural foods have a lower risk of adding weight.

2. Avoid taking alcohol

Alcohol makes the stomach bloated and will not allow your dress to sit perfectly on your body.

3. Drink enough water

Water helps to break down fats in the body, turning them into molecules to make it easier for the digestive system to burn them.

4. Eat more protein

Proteinous foods help in weight maintenance and make you feel satisfied for a while without getting hungry easily.

5. Reduce sugar intake

Reduce the way you take sweetened beverages, energy drinks, soft drinks and processed foods. Always check out for ingredients used in a drink or food to avoid taking much sugar that will make your belly fat increase.

6. Never skip a healthy breakfast

Skipping breakfasts are not healthy ways to shed belly fat. Instead, take breakfast that is rich in fibre and protein, this will give you the required energy and keep you from eating unnecessarily and taking high-fat foods.

7. Reduce stress level

Stress triggers the cortisol-stress hormone and this adds to belly fat in the abdomen.

8. Get plenty of sleep

Getting the required hour of sleep helps in giving you rest and as such reduces stress levels to achieve a flat tummy.

8. Limit the intake of foods that contain trans fat

  • Magazine
  • Butter spreads
  • And some processed foods

Have fats in them that may not be helpful for someone who wants to reduce have a flat tummy. Replace your cooking oil with coconut oil for a healthier lifestyle.

 

When you eat healthily and develop good living habits, you can achieve a flat tummy without exercise.
