Xavi To Replace Ronald Koeman At Barcelona
Barcelona legend and Al Sadd head coach Xavi Hernandez will be replacing Ronald Koeman as Barcelona first team manager.
According Goal.com report, the Catalans has already offered their former midfielder the job as the head coach even before terminating the Dutchman’s contract.
Al-Sadd has gone unbeaten in their last 34 consecutive league games under the former Blaugrana midfielder.
Xavi impressive run at Al-Sadd made Barcelona to believe that he has what it takes to revive the team back to their winning ways.
Barcelona announced the dismissal of their first team manager Ronald Koeman on Wednesday 27th October.
The Catalan side made the announcement known in an official statement published on their blog post.
The statement reads in part;
“FCB has relieved Koeman of his duties as first-team coach. The president of the club Laporta informed him of the decision after the defeat against Rayo. Ronald Koeman will say goodbye to the squad on Thursday at the Ciutat Esportiva,”.
The announcement didn’t come as a surprise to the members and fans of the club especially as the club struggles to maintain their dominance in La Liga since after Lionel Messi PSG move.
Their recent La Liga outings was nothing to ride home about.
The club occupies the number 9 position in La Liga santander standings.

Barcelona 2-1 El Clasico defeat to arch-rivals Real Madrid on Sunday and another disappointing defeat on Wednesday evening, this time away at Vallecas to Rayo Vallecano was more than enough reasons for the club relived Koeman of his duties.
As a coach, Ronald Koeman won the Copa del Rey with Barcelona and led the Catalans to 40 wins in 67 games since joining the club in August 2020.
