Super Eagles left fullback Zaidu Sanusi has been named in the UEFA Champions League matchday 4 fantasy Team of the Week.

The 23-year-old defender was in brilliant form for FC Porto during their 2-0 victory over Marseille on Wednesday.

To cap off his classic performance, Zaidu Sanusi scored his maiden goal in the European competition, which happens to be his first for the club he joined earlier this year.

The Nigeria defender broke the deadlock in the 39th minute after pouncing on a rebound which came from a corner-kick. He was on the pitch throughout the entire duration of the game to help his team boost their chances of making it through the round of 16, with a man-of-the-match performance.

Sanusi was featured at the heart of a defensive 5-3-2 formation alongside players like Serginho Dest, Bruno Fernandez, Kingsley Coman, Ciro Immobile and others.

FC Porto currently sit at second position in Group C with nine points from four games, behind leaders Manchester City while Marseille languish at the bottom of the table with no point.

They will play their next Champions League game at home against Manchester City on December 1.
