Super Eagles Akinkunmi Amoo is out of Super Eagles International Friendlies scheduled against Mexico and Ecuador, and the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
This was after FC Copenhagen manager, Jess Thorup confirmed that the midfielder has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The match has been scheduled to hold on May 28 and June 2 respectively at the AT&T Stadium, Arlington, Texas.
Amoo had earned his first senior call-up for the Qatar 2022 world cup playoff against Ghana in March but was not used as a substitute.
Amoo had earlier sustained an injury in April and had been ruled out of action in the coming weeks.
“Amoo has got a sprain in the back thigh and is, as it works now, out for the rest of the season.” Thorup
Nhs.uk reported that such injury could take weeks or months to recover from which means that Amoo could miss the Eagle two 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers in June.
