Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo has made a strong claim about the competitiveness of the Saudi Pro League.
Although the Arabian league is ranked 60th in the world, Ronaldo thinks it way more competitive than the French League 1 which ranks 5th.
In one of his recent interview, the 38-year-old Portugal forward said:
“Saudi League is not worst than Ligue 1. Saudi Pro League is more competitive than Ligue1, I can say that after one year spent there. We are better than French league already now.”

Ronaldo also praised himself for his fantastic form this season and for beating the likes of Erling Haaland to goals, even though he was written off by critics. He said:
“I was the best goalscorer this season, imagine beating young animals like Haaland… I’m proud. And I’ll be 39 soon!. I like when people doubt again about me and then I’m successfull. I don’t get affected by the criticism.”
“I feel so happy at Al Nassr, it’s great move. Saudi is in a process, it will take long… but step by step they will go to the top level. I think Saudi Pro League will be among top three leagues in the world. People in Saudi will be proud.”
