Former Barcelona forward Rivaldo Vítor Borba Ferreira has given the club a few insight on how to bring back their target man Neymar Jr.
According to Forbes, PSG is setting their demands at $167 million (€150 million) for Neymar, and it doesn’t seem that they’ll take a penny less for their superstar.
Considering the current financial situation of Barcelona, it seems unlikely that the club will pull off the resources to make such a blockbuster transfer.
However, Rivaldo who is among those rooting for Neymar’s return is of the opinion that a swap deal between both parties could be the best option.
The player who could be used in such a deal is identified by Rivaldo to be Ousmane Dembélé. The 23-year-old Frenchman hasn’t really justified his heavy transfer fee due to his constant injuries.
Rivaldo explained that Barça should do a Dembéléplus cash deal to hopefully bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou.
“There are rumors suggesting that PSG might be interested in Ousmane Dembélé and, even if I think Dembélé is a great player, I think it could be a good opportunity for Barcelona to finally bring Neymar back,” Rivaldo writes.
“Of course, Barça will have to pay a little more money to make the deal, but I think it could be a win-win activity for both clubs.
“Dembélé could see a good move because he will have the chance to rediscover his best form and become one of the star players of PSG. He would be back in his native country and could produce solid performances, so I think this decision would be interesting for him. But first, we have to wait to see if the clubs will reach an agreement.”
Meanwhile, PSG are in no way eager to let Neymar leave, in fact they are putting together a contract extension offer so as to ward off any interest for the Brazilian.
