Super Eagles towering striker Paul Ebere Onuachu has won the Ebony Shoe award for the Best African player In Belgium for the 2020/21 season.
The 27-year-old forward had a fantastic and prolific season which saw him emerge as top scorer in the Belgian Pro-League with 29 goals in 33 appearances.

He also broke a club record by scoring 35 goals in 41 games in all competitions for RC Genk.
Onuachu got the award ahead of Antwerp and Congo Democratic Republic forward Dieurmaci Mbokani.

The Ebony Shoe award is an annual football award in Belgium usually given to the best African footballer or African origin footballer in the Belgian Pro League.
Paul Onuachu is the fifth Nigerian player to win the Ebony Shoe award after Daniel Amiokachi (1992,1994), Victor Ikpeba (1993), Godwin Okapara (1995) and Celestine Babayaro (1996).
