Brazilian forward Neymar Da Silva has filed a lawsuit against his former employers over unpaid bonus.
In a fresh lawsuit suit lodge in the High Court of Justice of Catalonia, Neymar’s legal team is demanding that Barcelona pay the Brazilian sixty million euros renewal bonus.
This is coming five months after a Spanish judge dismissed the player’s claim he was owed €43.6m in bonuses by Barcelona, In addition the judge also imposed a €6.7m fine which he was asked to pay to barcelona.
According to the new reports from Spain, Neymar’s legal team is demanding almost sixty million euros from his former club because they still believes that Neymar is still being owed a 44 million euro renewal bonus by Barcelona.
Neymar legal team also lodged an appeal over the ruling in June that saw him have to pay 6.7 million euros to his former club.
The legal battle between Neymar and Barcelona began when the player signed a €222m deal with PSG in 2017, after which he demanded Barca pay the rest of his bonus fee.
The Catalan giants responded by charging him to court for a breach of contract and requested the return of €14m already paid to him, as well as €8.5m in damages plus interest.
