Arsenal have joined their Premier League counterpart Manchester City in pulling out of the recently proposed breakaway European Super League.
The Gunners made the announcement official today via their social media handles and website on Tuesday evening.
Their decision to withdraw came as a result of several complaints by the football community including their beloved fans.

A statement from Arsenal’s twitter page read:
“As a result of listening to you and the wider football community over recent days we are withdrawing from the proposed Super League. We made a mistake, and we apologise for it.”

Recall that Manchester City had earlier announced their decision to withdraw from the Super League, thereby becoming the first out of the listed 12 clubs to do so.
It is expected that the rest of the remaining clubs will join in breaking out of this controversial League.
